I had the pleasure of meeting Michaela at the Kushi Institute in 2000 when she was accepted as part of the work exchange program. Immediately, she impressed me with her good work ethic and attention to detail. She was a very joyous and free spirit, a good listener, as well as someone who was willing to explore the energetics and benefits of wholesome food!

Within 4 weeks, it was obvious that she needed a position which gave her more responsibility and opportunities to learn with a deeper understanding. Without hesitation, I promoted her to the position of cooking class coordinator, where she was able to work directly and learn directly from some of the most experienced macrobiotic cooking instructors in this country.
